A Teen Room on the second floor of the library is stocked with a variety of books and other materials for 13 to 17 year-olds. Wireless internet is available in the room. Library computers with internet access are also provided for use by teens in both the teen and internet rooms.
During the school year, the library collaborates with Bates College to provide a Homework Help program Mondays through Thursdays, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The program takes place in the library’s Computer Lab, providing students with access to tutors, computers, wireless internet, and printing.
During the summer, the library offers an annual Teen Summer Reading program. Teens read books of their choosing and are awarded prizes for meeting or exceeding their reading goals.
Additionally, the library works with other community partners to provide fun and educational programming to teens throughout the entire year. For more information about these events, please visit the library’s Teen Page.
